Archive of social media posts by people in active conflict zones I made to help people better understand the points of view of the people living through siege, genocide, war, etc in the future. I don’t believe personal anecdotes are the best way to learn about a conflict, but I think they are important to preserve, especially when it comes to a groups of people whose voices are constantly silenced, mistranslated, and trivialized. When it came to Twitter posts, I always checked where the account was based to make sure I was not screenshotting and archiving the tweet of someone potentially online-larping as a someone from a certain country to spread propaganda or gain donations. When it came to Facebook posts, I always made sure the user's location was in the said conflict zone and I usually briefly looked through their photos to simply make sure they were not a fake person/org. For most of these, I used archive.is to archive them because the Wayback Machine does not usually work for social media posts, but for Twitter threads, I used twitter-thread.com to unroll the thread, and then I archived it to web.archive.org. For some facebook posts, the archive.ph didn’t work, so I screenshotted the posts using pinky.com and then uploaded them to either the Wayback Machine or archive.ph
